Veteran's Day Essay Contest
The Veteran’s Day Essay contest is presented to area 8th graders. Out of all the submissions, a top 10 is chosen and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive a monetary prize. All essays tell a story of a veteran that has been interviewed or what Veteran’s Day means to the student. The 2025 Essay Contest winners were announced and presented with monetary prizes and certifcates at the Veteran’s Day Celebration on Saturday, November 1 at the 2nd Annual Carencro C’est Bon Seasoning Fest at Pelican Park. The Carencro Veterans Day Essay prizes were donated by Carencro Business Association Members, Dr. Stephen Castille with the Enterprise Business Center, Community Chronicles, Blake Johnson II, State Farm, and Edward Jones Stephen Daste.
